Smaller cations such as Fe2+, Mg2+, Fe3+, Mn3+ and Zn2+ have been preferentially assigned to M5 (highlighted in red). Larger cations such as Ca2+ and Na+ have been preferentially assigned to M4 (highlighted in green). Mn2+ has been preferentially assigned to M1, M2 and M3, as well as making up any deficiencies in M4 and M5.
